Community Service: Pivot to Period Equity
Through Pivot to Period Equity project, the club partnered with the Ministry of Health to educate the students of the Anna Regina Multilateral School in Region 2, about menstrual health, safe practices, and choices while distributing sanitary products that promoted dignity, confidence, and preparedness.
Professional Development: Mind Ya Business
On the side of professional development, project “Mind Ya Business” strengthened members’ financial planning and conflict-resolution skills. Facilitator Melissa Franklin-McCullock guided participants in managing money, making informed decisions, communicating effectively, and approaching workplace, business, and service challenges with greater confidence and resilience.
Club Service: World Rotaract Week
World Rotaract Week united members through leadership exchanges, fellowship, service, sports, and the chartering of a new Interact Club, strengthening relationships with other Rotaract Clubs in Guyana while celebrating teamwork, shared learning, community impact, and the spirit of Rotaract.
International Service: Project ELEVATE
Project ELEVATE, supported by the U.S. Youth Ambassadors programme, engaged the Mon Repos Primary School students and parents in literacy, leadership, and wellness activities, creating meaningful dialogue, encouraging participation, and empowering families through learning, confidence, and growth.
Finance: Hope Chest 3.0
Hope Chest 3.0 expanded to twenty collection locations across Guyana, encouraging the public to donate loose change. Each contribution supports community projects, making everyday giving accessible while showing how small donations can create meaningful impact.
Disaster Risk Management and Environmental Sustainability: International Coastal Cleanup
RCGC joined EPA Guyana and partner organisations for the International Coastal Cleanup. Members removed waste, promoted environmental stewardship, and supported collective action, demonstrating the importance of preparedness, sustainability, and protecting Guyana’s communities and natural environment.
Together, these projects demonstrate how our committees transformed their individual responsibilities into collective impact. From empowering students and developing members to raising funds and protecting the environment, each initiative contributed to a stronger club and even stronger and more resilient communities.
