Introducing the Rotary Fellowship of Wildlifers for Conservation Trinidad and Tobago Chapter (Rotary District 7030)! As part of the esteemed Global Fellowship - Rotary Fellowship of Wildlifers for Conservation (RFWC) - which originated in Rotary District 3190 (Bangalore, India), the Trinidad and Tobago Chapter has recently emerged to join the global community of dedicated Rotarians, Rotaractors, and other passionate individuals. This Global Fellowship gained official recognition from Rotary International on 5th January, 2021.

The Trinidad and Tobago Chapter brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a common interest in wildlife conservation. Members of the board are as follows:

  • President: Maria Mohammed-Maharaj (Rotary Club of St Augustine);
  • Secretary: Professor Emeritus Gary Garcia, The University of the West Indies, St Augustine Campus;
  • Executive Member: Ricardo Hospedales, Agriculture Education Specialist;
  • Executive Member: Veronica De Souza-Phillip (Rotary Club of Port of Spain West);
  • Executive Member: Tanya Western (Rotary Club of Central Port of Spain).

The Rotary Fellowship of Wildlifers for Conservation serves as a platform for individuals who are passionate about fostering a harmonious future for both humanity and nature. Together, we strive to create a world in which both people and the environment can thrive. The purpose of Rotary Fellowship of Wildlifers Trinidad and Tobago Chapter (RFWTT) is to:

  1. Foster public awareness of the critical value of wildlife, with a special focus on engaging and inspiring youth.
  2. Cultivate enduring connections beyond one's club, district, and nation, fostering strong bonds that encourage new membership and member retention within Rotary.
  3. Advocate for the preservation of living resources at the local, regional, and global levels, emphasizing their significance for current and future generations to relish the wonders of our natural world and its extraordinary species.
  4. Embark on exciting endeavours that not only enhance the Rotary experience but also present new avenues for community service.
  5. Share expertise and contribute to wildlife conservation efforts in their respective localities, actively participating in safeguarding our planet's diverse wildlife populations.

ENSEMBLE, NOUS FAISONS DE LA PROTECTION DE LA FAUNE ET DE LA FLORE UN MODE DE VIE !

Voici l’Amicale du Rotary de la Faune et la Flore pour la Conservation (District 7030) - section Trinidad-et-Tobago ! En tant que membre de la prestigieuse Amicale Mondiale – Amicale du Rotary Pour la Conservation de la Faune et de la Flore (« RFWC » en anglais) - née dans le District 3190 (Bangalore, Inde), la section Trinidad-et-Tobago a récemment rejoint la communauté mondiale des Rotariens, Rotaractiens et autres personnes passionnées. Cette Amicale Mondiale a été officiellement reconnue par le Rotary International le 5 janvier 2021.

La section Trinidad-et-Tobago rassemble des personnes d'horizons divers qui partagent un intérêt commun pour la conservation de la faune et de la flore. Les membres du Comité sont les suivants :

  • Secrétaire : Professeur Emérite Gary Garcia, de l’Univerté des West Indies, St Augustine Campus ;
  • Membre exécutif : Ricardo Hospedales, Spécialiste de l'Enseignement de l'Agriculture ;
  • Membre exécutif : Veronica De Souza-Phillip (Rotary Club de Port of Spain West) ;
  • Membre exécutif : Tanya Western (Rotary Club de Central Port of Spain).

Le Rotary Fellowship of Wildlifers for Conservation sert de plateforme aux personnes passionnées par la promotion d'un avenir harmonieux pour l'humanité et la nature. Ensemble, nous nous efforçons de créer un monde dans lequel l'homme et l'environnement peuvent s'épanouir.

L'objectif de la section Trinidad et Tobago du Rotary Fellowship of Wildlifers (RFWTT) est de :

  1. Sensibiliser le public sur la valeur essentielle de la faune et de la flore sauvages, en mettant l'accent sur l'engagement et l'inspiration des jeunes.
  2. Cultiver des liens durables au-delà du club, du District et de la nation, afin d'encourager les nouvelles adhésions et la fidélisation des membres au sein du Rotary.
  3. Plaider en faveur de la préservation des ressources vivantes aux niveaux local, régional et mondial, en soulignant leur importance pour les générations actuelles et futures afin qu'elles puissent profiter des merveilles de notre monde naturel et de ses espèces extraordinaires.
  4. Se lancer dans des projets passionnants qui non seulement améliorent l'expérience rotarienne mais offrent également de nouvelles possibilités d'action d'intérêt public.
  5. Partager leur expertise et contribuer aux efforts de conservation de la faune et de la flore dans leurs localités respectives, en participant activement à la sauvegarde des diverses populations d'animaux sauvages de notre planète.
