Eligibility Criteria
 
Bronze Award
 
This is the basic award, simply requiring a club to register its Environmental Sustainability Officer and document its current and planned initiatives.
 
 
  • Appoint a Club Environmental Sustainability Officer (ESO)
  • Form a small committee or working group with the aim to meet formally or informally several times a year to review the environmental initiatives of the club and to consider future possible projects
  • Have these projects or events recognised by the club Board and shared with the rest of the club members
  • Once this has been achieved, submit an application for the Award to the District Environmental Committee
  • To retain the award, send an annual statement of environmentally sustainable projects or events to the District Environmental Committee
 
Silver Award
 
To qualify for a Silver Award, a club will need to demonstrate that it is continuing with and improving an existing initiative and launching at least one new one.
 
  • The Club ES Committee or working group meets either formally or informally several times a year and where possible includes other Club members in discussions of potential environmental projects
  • Launch a new major initiative or alternatively continue an existing major one and explore ways to increase its effectiveness
  • Register the continued activity and the new environment initiative with the District Environmental Committee
 
 
Gold Award
 
A Gold Award signifies a significant commitment to the environment. To qualify for a Gold Award, a club will need to demonstrate its involvement in a minimum of TWO major projects in the Rotary year, at least one of which should involve young people.
 
  • Extend existing projects or develop new and innovative projects:
    • in partnership with other clubs or cluster of clubs
    • as part of a District Initiative
    • involving the wider community, local schools, businesses or churches
  • Make contact with local schools which already have environmental clubs, and if schools do not have them, encourage them to set up one

Médaille de bronze
 
Il s'agit de la récompense de base, exigeant simplement qu'un club inscrive son responsable de la durabilité environnementale et documente ses initiatives actuelles et prévues.
 
  • Nommer un responsable de la durabilité environnementale du club (ESO)
  • Former un petit comité ou groupe de travail dans le but de se réunir formellement ou informellement plusieurs fois par an pour passer en revue les initiatives environnementales du club et envisager de futurs projets possibles
  • Faire reconnaître ces projets ou événements par le conseil d'administration du club et les partager avec le reste des membres du club
  • Une fois cet objectif atteint, soumettre une candidature pour le prix au comité environnemental du district
  • Pour conserver le prix, envoyer une déclaration annuelle des projets ou événements écologiquement durables au comité environnemental du district
 
Médaille d'argent
 
Pour se qualifier pour une médaille d’argent, un club devra démontrer qu'il poursuit et améliore une initiative existante et en lance au moins une nouvelle.
 
  • Le comité ES du club ou le groupe de travail se réunit formellement ou informellement plusieurs fois par an et, si possible, inclut d'autres membres du club dans les discussions sur les projets environnementaux potentiels
  • Lancer une nouvelle initiative majeure ou bien poursuivre une initiative majeure existante et explorer les moyens d'accroître son efficacité
  • Enregistrer l'activité continue et la nouvelle initiative environnementale auprès du comité environnemental du district
 
Médaille d'or
 
Une médaille d’or signifie un engagement significatif envers l'environnement. Pour se qualifier pour un Gold Award, un club devra démontrer son implication dans au moins DEUX grands projets au cours de l'année rotarienne, dont au moins un doit impliquer des jeunes.
 
  • Prolonger des projets existants ou développer de nouveaux projets innovants :
    • en partenariat avec d'autres clubs ou regroupement de clubs
    • dans le cadre d'une initiative de district
    • impliquant la communauté au sens large, les écoles locales, les entreprises ou les églises
  • Prendre contact avec les écoles locales qui ont déjà des clubs environnementaux, et si les écoles n'en ont pas, les encourager à en créer un
