On Sunday 26th March 2017, the Rotary Club of Princes Town hosted its 17th Annual Golf tournament at Petrotrin's Golf Course, Pointe-a-Pierre. Registration opened at 8:00 am during which time breakfast was served and at 9:30 a.m. the 41 teams who participated set of on the golf course to a full day of golf. By the close of the afternoon players the were in high spirits as they enjoyed an early dinner and drinks prior to the prize giving ceremony.

The first place went to the team sponsored by IR & H Enterprises Limited and they received the Raubin Harnarine challenge trophy which was presented to them by family members of deceased Rotarian and Charter member of RC Princes Town, Raubin Harnarine, who contributed significantly to the Club while a member and in whose memory the Club's annual golf tournament is hosted.

Second and Third place winners were sponsored by Len Hap & Co. and Kallco respectively.

Club President Debbie Roopchand thanked Club Administration Chair Rudolph Ali who coordinated the project and Rotarians who assisted in ensuring the events success. She expressed the Club's deep gratitude to Honorary Rotarian Peter Chang who is an avid golfer and who has given generously of his time year after year to assist the Club in successfully hosting its tournament.

President Debbie reminded golfers that through their participation and their sponsors generous donations they have contributed towards the Club being able to continue to assist individuals who are less fortunate and thanked them for their support.
