The Rotary Club of Georgetown Central (RCGC) partnered with the Rotaract Club of Georgetown to reward top performers at this year's Grade 6 National Assessment Examination within the rural community of Kimbia, which is located about one hour by boat up the Berbice River.
In the presence of parents and teachers, RCGC President, Andrew Boyle, once a resident of the community himself, presented a backpack full of goodies to each of the four top performers which included an electronic tablet, school apparel and stationery.
RCGC extends special congratulations and best wishes to these outstanding pupils, as they prepare to undertake secondary education.
