In observance of World Polio Day on October 24, 2022, the Rotary Club of Antigua Sundown held its End Polio Now Awareness Walk. The Walk was held on Saturday 22 October 2022 to show solidarity for Rotary International promise to eradicate polio.
At 4:00pm Rotarians along with family and friends all dressed in their End Polio Now jerseys, embarked on a 3 mile walk along a busy route in St John’s.
The Club is working diligently to ensure that its commitment to the District Polio Fund is realized. There is another fundraiser planned for Jan 2023.
Rotary Club d'Antigua Sundown - Marche de Sensibilisation à "End Polio Now" 2022
À l'occasion de la Journée Mondiale Contre la Polio, le 24 octobre 2022, le Rotary Club d'Antigua Sundown a organisé sa marche de sensibilisation End Polio Now. La marche a eu lieu le samedi 22 octobre 2022 pour montrer la solidarité avec la promesse du Rotary International d'éradiquer la polio.
À 16 heures, les Rotariens, accompagnés de leur famille et de leurs amis, tous vêtus de leur maillot End Polio Now, se sont lancés dans une marche de 4,8km le long d'une route très fréquentée de St John's.
Le Club travaille avec diligence pour s'assurer que son engagement envers le Fonds Polio du District soit réalisé. Une autre collecte de fonds est prévue en janvier 2023.
