On 20th October 2020, Rotary District 7030, along with Districts 7000 and 7020, proudly and jointly hosted Dr. Carol Pandak - RI Director of PolioPlus - who facilitated a most informative online session: PolioPlus Within The Context of COVID-19.
In this most informative and targeted presentation and discussion, Dr. Pandak, shared her expertise, experience and insight into the current and ongoing work of PolioPlus and COVID-19 relief efforts around the world.
This very relevant and timely presentation revealed how critical the PolioPlus infrastructure and resources are to COVID-19 testing and evaluations, as well as, the role it will soon play in COVID-19 vaccination distributions. Through presentation, dialogue and the answering of many pertinent questions, Rotarians, Rotaractors and guests were provided with enough reason and rationale to understand the importance of continuing to support the PolioPlus Fund of Rotary International.
