Dear Fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors,
August is Membership and New Club Development Month—a time to reflect not only on how we grow Rotary, but also on how we strengthen the experience of every person who chooses to serve with us.
Rotary District 7030 is distinguished by its remarkable diversity. Across 17 countries and territories and three languages—English, French and Dutch—we are a vibrant network of people of action, connecting cultures, building friendships and creating impact across borders.
August is Membership and New Club Development Month—a time to reflect not only on how we grow Rotary, but also on how we strengthen the experience of every person who chooses to serve with us.
Rotary District 7030 is distinguished by its remarkable diversity. Across 17 countries and territories and three languages—English, French and Dutch—we are a vibrant network of people of action, connecting cultures, building friendships and creating impact across borders.
Our District family now includes 2,380 Rotarians and 856 Rotaractors (as of 26th July, 2026). With the recent formation of two new Rotary Clubs—the Rotary Club of Nevis and the Rotary Club of Archipels Passeport - we have grown to 78 Rotary Clubs, supported by four Rotary Satellite Clubs, 46 Rotaract Clubs, 107 Interact Clubs, 18 EarlyAct Clubs and 13 Rotary Community Corps groups. Each is an important part of our Rotary family and provides a different pathway through which people of all ages can connect, lead and serve.
The formation of these two new Clubs is a significant achievement for our District. It demonstrates that Rotary remains relevant and that there are communities and individuals eager to unite around service. I warmly welcome our newest members and congratulate everyone whose commitment and leadership helped make these Clubs a reality.
However, membership growth is about more than increasing our numbers. It is about increasing our capacity to serve, developing new leaders, welcoming fresh ideas and ensuring that Rotary reflects the communities in which we live and work. New members must feel that they belong, that their voices are valued and that their involvement is meaningful.
Our challenge is therefore twofold: to invite more people to experience Rotary and to create the kind of Club environment that encourages them to remain. This requires us to listen, adapt and be willing to explore flexible meeting formats, innovative Club models and new approaches to engagement. It also requires us to support our Rotaractors and create stronger pathways for their continued leadership and involvement throughout the Rotary family.
This month, I encourage every Club to ask:
- Is our Club welcoming and inclusive?
- Are we providing meaningful opportunities for every member to participate?
- Does our membership reflect the diversity of our community?
- Are we sharing Rotary’s story in a way that inspires others to join us?
- Is there an underserved community or group that could benefit from a new Rotary or Satellite Club?
“This is not about doing different work. It is about doing our work differently, with greater awareness, greater purpose, and a clearer vision.”
This message is especially relevant to membership. By deliberately creating inclusive Clubs, building genuine relationships and bringing together people from different cultures, professions, generations and perspectives, we help create the conditions for understanding and peace. Every new connection strengthens our ability to serve, and every new Club expands Rotary’s reach and potential for lasting impact.
As we continue through this Rotary year, let us DARE to invite others to join us, INNOVATE in the way we engage and support our members, and SERVE with purpose. Across our many countries, territories, languages and cultures, let us remain guided by the conviction that UNITED, WE ARE STRONGER.
Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive and more vibrant Rotary District 7030.
