Each year, the Rotaract Outstanding Project Awards recognizes Rotaract clubs that are making a sustainable impact in one of Rotary's areas of focus through their innovative community or international service projects.

For more than 25 years, the Rotaract Outstanding Project Awards program has been an opportunity for Rotaract clubs to share their success with the global Rotary community and to inspire other clubs to develop sustainable and innovative projects. Because the nomination form is modeled after The Rotary Foundation’s global grant application, the process also helps prepare Rotaract clubs to apply for global grants, which they will be allowed to do starting 1 July.

With the recent Rotaract policy updates, Rotaract clubs will be allowed to be either an international or host sponsor of a global grant beginning on 1 July 2022. The Rotaract Outstanding Project Awards helps Rotaract clubs to gain experience in applying for grants.

Nominations to the Rotaract Outstanding Project Awards are evaluated by Rotary International staff and Rotaract Committee members for the following elements: sustainability, community assessment, impact in Rotary’s Areas of Focus, collaboration with Rotary clubs and local experts, promotion of project, and percentage of Rotaract clubs involved in the project.

Members of a Rotaract club must submit this online nomination form by February 1st. Awards will be granted to one international winner and one winner in each of the designated regions.

Winners will be announced at the Rotaract Preconvention Meeting.

Project submissions will be evaluated in the following areas:
  • Impact and sustainability (25%)
  • Alignment with Rotary's six areas of focus and promotion of Rotary's commitment to change lives locally and globally. (25%)
  • Collaboration with Rotarians and community organizations to enhance effectiveness (20%)
  • Innovation (15%)
  • Percentage of Rotaract club members involved in development and implementation of project (15%)
Project submissions may include links to online photographs, videos, blogs, social media sites, local media coverage, and other information that demonstrate the reach and impact of the project submission. Members of the award panel will consider this information as they review your nomination. Only information submitted on this nomination form will be considered; information submitted directly to Rotary International by email or by post will not be reviewed by the award panel.
