Over the last few weeks, Clubs across District 7030 have been conducting their respective handover ceremonies with dignity and flair. Many clubs have shared some of the highlights of their handovers and the District is pleased to display just a sample of some of them.

Club Handovers serve as the ceremonial "passing of the torch" from one Club President to another to mark the start of a new Rotary Year. With it also comes new administration of a club including a new club executive, the installation of a new Board of Directors and new committee chairpersons and member assignments.

While the official Rotary year ends on 30th June, many clubs host their handovers sometimes several weeks prior to and after the date - mainly due to the factors involved with scheduling of the event itself. However, as is proper Rotary practice, regardless of when a club's handover ceremony takes place, the new club president officially takes office on 1st July each year and assumes all rights and responsibilities of the position from then on and for the next year.

The District would like to express profound congratulations to all Club Immediate Past Presidents for a great year and wish the best to all newly appointed Club Presidents as we persevere into 2016-2017 year under the banner of "Rotary Serving Humanity".
