Instructions for Rotarians/Rotaractors as Benefactors/Donors
  1. Rotarians or Rotaractors making the contribution should login to My Rotary. If you cannot access My Rotary, please check with your respective club secretary
  2. If you yourself are the beneficiary, verify the number of PHF Recognition Points (NOT Foundation Recognition Points available for transfer) under your account [click here to access your personal donation report]. If you cannot access this information, please check with your club secretary to provide such 
  3. If you yourself are NOT the beneficiary and you are contributing towards another Rotarian's or Rotaractor's recognition, check with that member himself/herself OR your club secretary OR the respective secretary from beneficiary's club to verify the current number of PHF Recognition Points under the beneficiary's account
  4. If you are NOT the beneficiary and you are contributing towards the recognition of an individual who is NOT a Rotarian or Rotaractor, it shall be assumed that that person (i.e. the intended beneficiary) currently has zero PHF Recognition Points unless you can demonstrate otherwise
  5. Verify that the number of PHF Recognition Points under the intended beneficiary's account (i.e. your account OR the account of another Rotarian/Rotaractor OR a new account which will be created for a non-member) is 950 points or fewer
  6. Determine the number of points needed to get to 1000 and divide by 2 - this will be the USD value of the contribution you are required to make. For example: a) if there are zero PHF Recognition points accumulated, then 1000 points are needed and a contribution of (1000 ÷ 2 =) US $500 is required; or b) if there are 420 PHF Recognition points already accumulated, then 580 points are needed to get to 1000 and a contribution of US $290 is required; and c) if there are 675.75 PHF Recognition points already accumulated, then 324.25 points are needed to get to 1000 and a contribution of US $325 is required (please note that for fractional amounts, you must always round up to the nearest dollar)
  7. For persons making contributions to PolioPlus Fund other than via online credit card transactions (e.g. wire transfers, bank drafts, etc.), please download The Rotary Foundation Contribution Form, as well as, see instructions for such here and/or email trf.arinquiries@rotary.org for more information
  8. If you are a Rotarian or Rotaractor, please login to My Rotary before making online donation. Non-members of the Rotary family making contributions may continue as guests (see below)
  9. For online donations click here to donate now online via credit card. Please note that the remainder of these instructions are primarily geared towards those persons making online contributions via credit card and if you need additional assistance for another form of payment, you should consult the links mentioned above
  10. Ensure that you have selected the PolioPlus or Polio Fund under Featured Causes
  11. If you are making the contribution and are the beneficiary yourself, proceed to #15
  12. If you are making the contribution and the beneficiary is another member of your club, please select "This donation is from my club or its members", followed by "Donate from members" and then select the name of the member in your club in who's name you are making the contribution
  13. If you are making the contribution and the beneficiary is another Rotarian/Rotaractor who is NOT in your club, you may EITHER make the contribution online under your name and then transfer the earned points from your account to that of the beneficiary's account (click here for PHF Recognition Transfer Request Form) OR you may download, complete and submit The Rotary Foundation Contribution Form which allows you to directly name and identify any Rotarian/Rotaractor by name and membership ID as a beneficiary OR you may contact RotarySupportCenter@rotary.org for more information
  14. If you are making the contribution and the beneficiary is a non-member, select "I would like to make this donation in honor or in memory of someone" and enter appropriate information
  15. Ensure that the name of the beneficiary whether your own, another Rotarian's/Rotaractor's in your club or non-member is correct. You may need to have the other member's RI Membership ID number where beneficiaries are members other than yourself
  16. Make the necessary contribution to The Rotary Foundation's PolioPlus Fund in the determined amount of US $25 or more
  17. Ensure that your email address provided and/or on record when making a contribution is correct and up-to-date
  18. Once the transaction is processed and verified, you should receive a confirmation / thank you email and attachment from The Rotary Foundation via Giftacknowledgement@rotary.org within a few days...please ensure that you check your spam or junk folders, as well as, your normal inbox for such email. If you do not receive any such email within one week of making contribution, please contact RotarySupportCenter@rotary.org immediately to resolve the matter 
  19. Forward the email and attachment as is to District 7030 PolioPlus Sub-Committee Chair Raj Jadoo (jadoostrading8@gmail.com) without changing the subject line or contents and in the body of the email, please include the following information: a) Full name of beneficiary individual; b) Name of club to which beneficiary individual belongs if a member (if beneficiary is a non-member, please state such); c) RI Membership ID number of beneficiary where available; d) Full name of benefactor (i.e. person who made contribution) even if same as beneficiary; and e) Amount in USD of contribution
  20. Upon sending the email, attachment and requested information, please allow seven (7) working days for transfer of remaining foundation recognition points (that is, equivalent number of points as your contribution amount) to the beneficiary's account which will bring the beneficiary's PHF Recognition Points total to 1000
  21. Upon transfer of points, you will receive a further confirmation email from District 7030 PolioPlus Sub-Committee Chair Raj Jadoo confirming such and at which time the transfer and beneficiary's new PHF Recognition Points account total as 1000 should be verified either by you or your club's secretary or the beneficiary himself/herself. If any issues with such takes place, please email Raj Jadoo
  22. You or your club should then receive your PHF Recognition materials (that is, a PHF pin and a PHF Recognition certificate) via delivery service from The Rotary Foundation based on the mailing information provided by you or your club. If any issue in receiving such, please let your club secretary or club foundation chair know or contact RotarySupportCenter@rotary.org immediately to resolve the matter

Instructions for Non-Members As Benefactors/Donors
  1. If you yourself are the beneficiary, proceed to #4
  2. If you yourself are NOT the beneficiary and you are contributing towards another non-member's recognition, proceed to #4
  3. If you yourself are NOT the beneficiary and you are contributing towards a Rotarian's or Rotaractor's recognition, EITHER check with that member himself/herself to verify the current number of PHF Recognition Points under his/her account is 950 points or fewer and determine the number of points he/she needs to get to 1000 and divide by 2 to calculate the amount of your contribution OR assume that that member has zero PHF Recognition Points and you will be making a minimum contribution of US $500 to the PolioPlus Fund. In either case, you will also need the RI Membership ID number for that member
  4. For persons making contributions to PolioPlus Fund other than via online credit card transactions (e.g. wire transfers, bank drafts, etc.), please download The Rotary Foundation Contribution Form, as well as, see instructions for such here and/or email trf.arinquiries@rotary.org for more information
  5. For online donations click here to donate now online via credit card - you do not need to log on in any way and can conduct the transaction securely as as guest. Please note that the remainder of these instructions are primarily geared towards those persons making online contributions via credit card and if you need additional assistance for another form of payment, you should consult the links mentioned above

If you are making the contribution and the beneficiary is a Rotarian/Rotaractor, you may EITHER make the contribution online under your name and then transfer the earned points from your newly created account to that of the beneficiary's account (click here for PHF Recognition Transfer Request Form) OR you may download, complete and submit The Rotary Foundation Contribution Form which allows you to directly name and identify any Rotarian/Rotaractor by name and membership ID as a beneficiary OR you may contact RotarySupportCenter@rotary.org for more information 
  10. Ensure that the name of the beneficiary whether your own, that of another non-member or that of a Rotarian/Rotaractor is correct. You will need to have a member's RI Membership ID number where beneficiaries are members of Rotary 
  11. Make the necessary contribution to The Rotary Foundation's PolioPlus Fund in the determined amount of US $25 or more so as to achieve 1000 points as prescribed in the calculation above
  12. Ensure that your email address, as well as, billing/mailing address provided and/or on record when making a contribution is correct and up-to-date 
  13. Terms and Conditions
  • Offer is available starting 10th October 2020
  • Offer is valid where contributions are made through month of October 2020 and may be extended 
  • Offer is ONLY applicable to beneficiary individuals (members and/or non-members) who prior to redeeming offer DO NOT hold a Paul Harris Fellow recognition or are members of the Paul Harris Society
  • Offer recognizes that a Paul Harris Fellow recognition is attained when an individual accumulates a total of 1000 or more Foundation Recognition Points under his/her account
  • Offer recognizes that all references to payments/contributions are in USD
  • Offer recognizes that 1 USD = 1 PHF Recognition Point
  • Offer is ONLY applicable to beneficiary individuals who prior to redeeming offer have 950 or fewer Foundation Recognition Points under their account
  • Offer is ONLY applicable if person making contribution is a member (Rotarian or Rotaractor) OR club (Rotary or Rotaract) within District 7030 OR a non-member individual who selects a country/territory within District 7030 during the donation process 
  • Offer is applicable to any beneficiary individual and includes Rotarians, Rotaractors OR non-members both within and outside of District 7030
  • Offer is ONLY applicable if contribution is made to the PolioPlus Fund under The Rotary Foundation (contributions to any other fund under The Rotary Foundation will not count)
  • Offer is ONLY applicable to contributions ranging from a minimum of US $25 to a maximum of US $500 towards the PolioPlus Fund
  • While contributions in excess of US $500 may be readily made, a maximum of 500 foundation recognition points will be transferred to any one individual beneficiary's account so as to provide that individual with the necessary remaining points to attain a total of 1000
  • Contributions in excess of US $500 or the minimum contribution amount determined to reach 1000 points and attain a PHF under this special offer and as prescribed above, may NOT be matched by an equivalent number of transferred foundation recognition points even where such number of points is less than 500, where the limits of the number of foundation recognition points to be transferred to any beneficiary's account is based on the current number of PHF Recognition Points of the beneficiary prior to redeeming the special offer and as based on the prescribed calculation above
