District conferences are an opportunity for clubs to exchange ideas and showcase their achievements. The district conference committee plans and promotes the conference and helps ensure maximum attendance by:
  • Publicizing the conference to the media, community leaders, and beneficiaries of club service efforts.
  • Working with the district trainer to offer a district leadership seminar during the conference.

General Committee Responsibilities include:
  • Recommend the district conference venue and make all related logistical arrangements.
  • Coordinate conference finances to ensure maximum attendance.
  • Promote conference attendance with particular emphasis on new Rotarians, new clubs, and representation from every club.
  • Publicize the district conference to external audiences, such as the media, community leaders, and beneficiaries of Rotary’s programs.
  • Arrange a district leadership seminar in cooperation with the district trainer to be held in conjunction with the conference.
  • Consider including time in the agenda to report on Rotary Foundation activities if no report has been or will be provided at another district.
