On Saturday 5th November 2016, in celebration of World Interact Week, students of the Interact Club of Princes Town West Secondary School, under the leadership of their Club President Alyssa Francis, engaged in a beach cleanup exercise at Moruga Beach, Trinidad.

The 30 plus Interactors cleaned and repainted the St. Peters and Christopher Columbus monuments, which were in poor condition and cleared the areas surrounding the monuments of overgrown bush and garbage. The students also cleared a lot of debris and rubbish from the beachfront, all in an effort to clean up the area and beautify it for the benefit of members of the Moruga Community and visitors to the area.

The Interact Club of Princes Town West Secondary School was chartered on the 24th June 2016 through its sponsor – the Rotary Club of Princes Town. Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Princes Town were on site to assist and give guidance to the Interactors as they executed their first project geared towards benefiting a community.
